Monica Odlare
CEO & Co-founder
Agronomist and Professor of Environmental Engineering at Mälardalen University, with extensive experience in cultivation systems across both urban and rural environments, indoors and outdoors. Monica has led several international research and innovation projects and works at the intersection of science, innovation, and real-world implementation.
She builds bridges between research and practice, focusing on developing sustainable cultivation systems that work in everyday life. Her passion lies in creating green, productive urban environments, increasing access to locally produced food, and shortening the distance between producer and consumer. Her goal is to contribute to more sustainable, healthy, and resilient societies where more people can live closer to nature – even in urban settings.

Carlos Meza R.
Architect & Co-founder
Carlos is an architect originally from Costa Rica, a country rich in biodiversity and deeply connected to nature. Growing up in this environment shaped his passion for plants, sustainability, and design. As a landscape designer, he has developed projects across Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Chile, and the United States, helping clients create spaces that promote well-being, connection, and growth.
His work goes beyond aesthetics. He focuses on integrating natural systems into architecture to improve environmental performance, enhance user experience, and support companies in reducing their carbon footprint. Through Biofolia Sweden, he aims to create innovative, regenerative solutions that connect people with nature in meaningful and lasting ways.

Natalia Rangel O.
Wellness Director & Co-founder
Natalia Rangel O. is a Pharmaceutical Chemist, graduated from the University of Antioquia in Colombia. She has dedicated her career to developing wellness systems that integrate science, nature, and human health.
Her work focuses on applying her scientific background to improve quality of life while respecting and enhancing the environment. She leads the social and wellness component of our projects, ensuring that every intervention creates a positive impact on people and communities.
Natalia integrates principles of permaculture and phytotherapy, combining natural medicine, plant-based healing, and sustainable practices to design holistic experiences. Her approach bridges traditional knowledge with modern science, creating solutions that promote balance, health, and long-term well-being.
She also contributes to the development of natural products, sensory experiences, and educational components within our projects, reinforcing the connection between people, nature, and conscious living.

Erik Odlare
Sales agent
Erik has studied International Business Management and International Relations from Mälardalen University and Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. He also has experience running his own business within gardening and cultivation, where his interest in sustainable solutions and hands-on work developed.
In his role, Erik focuses on business development and building strong relationships with clients and partners. He has a strong interest in societal issues and is driven by a desire to contribute to more equitable and sustainable living environments.
His engagement with nature, people, and community development shapes his work, with a focus on making sustainable solutions accessible and relevant in everyday life.
